This is a solid wire 174 pound test walk the dog jerkbait leader with a #5 Stay-Lok snap. There is no swivel on these leaders. The lack of a swivel provides a lighter leader which allows the bait to work more naturally. With the slack line that is sometimes created with a jerkbait, a swivel will sometimes catch on the leader itself causing the action to be impaired for the rest of the retrieve. Tieing direct to the leader without the swivel will prevent this.

The Hybrid Leader System, by Stealth Tackle, was developed and implemented by Gregg Thomas and has been attributed to the successful catch and release of 40+ fifty-inch muskies.

The Hybrid Leader System incorporates a 3 foot section of 80lb. fluorocarbon line tied directly to your main line with a double uni knot. The double uni knot is an extremely strong, but simple knot to tie. Instructions for tying this knot are printed on the back of the packaging.
